Val-Dieu Triple is the result of a long fermentation, scrupulously followed by the brewmaster. Its deep yet soft bitterness does not interfer with the discovery of its components. The taste of the hop comes through, naturally aromatized, accompanied by an alcoholic after taste. It can be associated with refined dishes and ranks among the great beers. It may be found in the some of the most exclusive restaurants.

Ingredients: Pilsen malt, Saaz and Spalter hops, sugar, live yeast, natural water from the region.

750 from Yamaya. Surprised and pleased to see this there. Shiny golden, clear, lots of bubbles, tall, foamy head. Nice lemony nose, grass, biscuit, crackers, Slight yeast spiciness but the yeast character is clean and the malt lays back for the hops. Flavor is sweeter than expected, malt biscuits, touch of honey, lemon. Not quite there with the nose. Full and silky but not too heavy. Good bitter finish.

Hazy golden color with small white head, nice lacing. Aroma is boozy, sweet and biscuity, classic tripel. Taste is similar. Classic Tripel, but with a smooth carbonation. Standard but ok.

Bottle 33cl. Slightly hazy yellow/gold with a huge white top that fades a little. Aroma is not very special, just some malts. The taste starts bitter, a bit spicy. Later on a slight sourness comes in. Aftertaste is dry.

*Old rating, best before 14/09/07.

A really cloudy, somewhat orange colored beer where the yeast still swims around. The layer of foam is nice, white and fluffy. The aroma contains a lot of alcohol, and is also slightly hoppy. It has a nice taste of licorice which feels nice on the tongue. This moves on into a nice aftertaste.

Bottle from Yamaya. Slightly hazy gold colour, little lacing. Aroma has lots of soft fruits and yeast. Flavour is fruity, fresh and surprisingly light for the strength.
