Not the most impressive triple. Okay flavor and aroma. Average palate. Nothing stands out on this one. From what my buddy tells me most Val-Dieu products are nothing spectacular and some of them are down right lame. So far the triple is the only one I’ve tried. Would like to sample their quad. Beyond that I’ll stick to trying new things.

Appearance: Pours a hazy, golden body with a tall, foamy, white head.
Smell: Interesting aroma smelling of a blend of white wine, green apples, yeast, and a simple pilsner.
Taste: Pilsner maltiness with a slight bready character. Pop of sugariness alongside green apples, a touch of alcohol, and a sour yeastiness. Dash of white wine. Mild spicy hops and bitterness. Finishes dry with a lingering sour fruitiness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Moderate carbonation. Slight stickiness to the mouthfeel.
Drinkability: Passable. By no means by favorite tripel, I would definitely prefer a Chimay over this.

Jan 2, 2009 Bottle at home. Nice tripel. Caramel, sweet, syrupy taste. Orangy, citrusy body. Taste of citrus, honey, marsepin and bubble gum even. Prickly and pleasant finish.

Dec 12, 2008 Bottle, 033. Hazy yellow color, noticeable sediment. The alcohol is well hidden but this beer isn’t anything great and I wouldn’t buy again

Dec 11, 2008 Bottle, c&c, from BottleTrek. Hazy golden color with a multifinger white head. Aromas of hop, candi and light malt. Medium body with creamy frothy carbonation. Flavor is yeast, grassy hop and malt. Finishes more dry than sweet. Almost astringent. Nice drink.
