Val-Dieu Triple is the result of a long fermentation, scrupulously followed by the brewmaster. Its deep yet soft bitterness does not interfer with the discovery of its components. The taste of the hop comes through, naturally aromatized, accompanied by an alcoholic after taste. It can be associated with refined dishes and ranks among the great beers. It may be found in the some of the most exclusive restaurants.

Ingredients: Pilsen malt, Saaz and Spalter hops, sugar, live yeast, natural water from the region.

Bottle A little thin maltwise considering what the style makes you expect. Pours a big white head on a hazy yellow body. candi sugar and Belgian spicines crowds out any malt.

Bottle . Pours clear . ok to small white head . Smell is mostly yeast . Tad sweet. some banana-fruityness . High carbonation. Taste is bitter, again much yeast and rather intense on the banana-side . meh . Nothing really wrong with this .... but boring and nothing we did not see before . Slightly bitter-sweet aftertaste. OK

33cl bottle at home. Pale orange with a medium white creamy head with long retention. Medium to full body with moderate carbonation. Very well balanced sweet and bitter tones. Citrus, grain, peach, yeast and hints of caramel. I loved this one a lot, very tasty.

Smaak is moutig, zoet, citrustonen, alcohol.

4oz on tap at Ei8ht Ball. Excited for this... Some regular customers of mine at Dutch’s highly recommended that I try it, been meaning to for a while. Clear golden color. Little ring of off-white head, couple short ropes of lace. Interesting aroma up front, get a bunch of pilsner-like flavor -- sort of unusual for a tripel. Must be all that pilsen malt and saaz. I don’t mind it, but it’s very different. Bright golden tropical fruits, some citrus. Pretty nice. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, lightly soft, lighter carbonation, kind of crisp, more dry finish. Easier-drinking and lighter than the ABV would suggest. Moderate sweet taste, light to moderate bitterness, nice more dry taste in the finish. Easy-drinking for a tripel, not too sweet. The pilsener of tripels, apparently. Very much tastes like a tripel influenced by a pilsener. Hoppier and less sweet than typical too, the hop seems to make for a nice balance in the flavor.

Pours orange, medium haziness, with an excellent, big, compact and long lasting white head. Aroma of cereal and a little of honey. Medium body and carbonation, alcohol very well masked. Very tasty, full of cereal, belgian yeast, caramel; moderate sweetness, very deep and complex. Excellent long lasting sweet (but not overwhelming).
