(Cask at Pembury Tavern, Hackney, London, 24 April 2008) Dark amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of nuts and toffee. Malty taste with dried fruit, apricots and earthy hops in a fairly dry finish. Uncomplicated, but decent session bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag ONails, Bristol 20/11/08. Pleasant amber session bitter with a slight, off white head. Gentle fruity aroma and flavour, with some sweetness and grassy hops, before a short bitter finish. Good.

Cask gravity at Ashford Rugby Club BF 2008. Copper gold, lasting off white head. Some caramel, decent leafy hop on start and finish. The toffee comes through on the swallow.

A very ordinary British bitter handpulled at the cosy pub Far From the Madding Crowd in Oxford. Clear and deep brown body topped by a filmy head. Notes of citrus hops in aroma. Smooth hop bitterness that lasted for a while. Rather thin bodied. Easy drinking (half pint, 16.03.2008).

Cask at the Three Horseshoes pub Towersey Festival Thought that I’d already rated this. Poured amber with nice white head, decent sesion beer that is quite fruity and a little dry and bitter.
