[2861-20100501] 500mL bottle. Fruity floral aroma with toasty malt. Hazy, dark red brown body with a medium-lasting foamy light tan head. Toasty odd floral flavour has floral sweet malt and a long sweet roast finish. Medium body. Odd funkiness.

Cask. Pours a cloudy opaque dark brown with an orange hue and a small beige head. Lightly nutty and roasted nose. Light body, flat, roasted nutty accents and even roast all through the finish. Has a vague underlying tartness. Not much of a Porter. 200110

2010-05-01. Very dark brown body with a small creamy beige head. Aroma is oddly vinuous, fruity almost blackberry like character. 6+ Flavour has a similar fruity blackberry like tang, dry malt, very light roast touches if you look. I suspect the fruit character may not be entirely on purpose, but it was not unpleasant. Average palate. Okay. Bottle from The Grog Shop, Oxford

Cask Stillage at NWAF The Venue, Miles Platting 20/01/2010 Malt aroma. Mid brown coloured and rich on the palate with some alcohol present. A little burnt roast flavour in a crisp and dry finish.

Cask - Travellers Inn, Halifax. Opaque black/brown with a thin but dense tan head. Treacle and roasted malts on the nose. More treacle notes in the flavour with chocolate and some roastiness. Soft mouthfeel with a lasting dry bitterness. A nice, sweet but balanced porter.

Still and very dark with no head whatsoever. Chocolate and sticky weetabix aromas with coffee and rich toffee. Too carbonated for me but nice, deep flavours of chocolate and balsa wood. Unfortunately metallic. Less than fascinating.

Cask at Luton BF ’09. Very dark red brown, nearly black. Small off white head. Sweet grainy malt aroma. Sweet, creamy malt taste with a sharp bitter finish. Quite good.

Gravity cask at Watford beer fest. Brown/black with off white head.. Fruity sweetness and rather thin malt, biscuits and fresh baked bread with a touch of caramel. Nothing special..

Bottle. Black beer with a strong head. The aroma is lightly bitter and lightly roasted, and the flavour is lightly roasted and bitter. Overall an average roasted bitter.

Bottle. Poured a brown-black with no head. texture was chalky and dry with some odd bubblegum/brown ale sweetness, but a decent if unusual effort overall.
