3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask conditioned at St. Aldates Tavern, Oxford. Gold with white head. Quite a thinnish beer there is a slightly stewed malty note, cereal. I didn’t really get much hop character apart from a leafy note. A little dull.

Cask, handpump at The Nut Tree, Murcott, Oxon, Sunday 8th September 2013 Pours mid gold, good looker (first beer from the new cask), nice white head. Pleasant golden bitter but lacking the character of those that I tried yesterday at the open day, a little more workmanlike i.e. Functional but the bitterness and hoppiness were fine, tasted good for being really fresh. Fruity with citrus showing, would be a decent session beer, just needs a little something extra to lift it a but. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

1/3 of a pint on draught at the Bree Louise in London. Golden, almost clear. Light hop aroma. Dry and bitter, but disappointing. On the other hand a smooth session beer if you like this style.

Cask conditioned handpump Lamplighter Northampton 29/08 A golden beer with a white head and lacing. A standard low strength bitter. Fruity notes amongst yeastiness in the nose. Grassy bitterness in the mouth with some late citrus. A bit of fust in the nose too. Passable.
