Cask, Far From The Madding Crowd, Oxford. Very pale gold, white fine head. Soft farmy hops, blackberries and a touch of green peaches. Lovely dry toast flavor, mineral bitterness. Pleasantly dry finish. Really nice beer, and a fine one for Spring.

Ascot Beer Festival 2012. Pours a golden colour with a thin white head, plenty of citrus fruit in the aroma, taste is sweet with hops and fruit, with a crisp dry finish.

Cask. Plain gold pour. Fairly typical grassy hop aroma. Fairly significant hop hit with a fairly smooth, clean finish. Pretty much a smooth bitter with a load of hops added to make it a pretty interesting beer that’s very drinkable as well.

Cask at the Webb Ellis, Twickenham, golden with a fine thin head and a floral and citrus hoppy nose. Lovely balance of juicy golden fruity malt and astringent citrus hops.

500ml Bottle. A multi-award winning beer. For one, it actually says what it does on the label! It is hoppy, a citrusy pale ale. It definately has that malty bicuity aftertaste you get with arrowroot biscuits, A nice bottled beer but its a bit heavy for my tastes hence the marking down.

Cask at the Wandsworth Common Spring BF, Le Gothique, London. Pours clear, shiny gold with a fine, foamy white head. Nice aroma of orange citrus. Light to medium sweet flavor with more citrus, some doughy malts and straw. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Faintly sticky to finish with straw bitters, zesty citrus rind. Very good, very well balanced.

Draft. Very slightly hazy pale gold beer, no head. Low carbonation. Semi dry palate. Mild hoppy fruits, very moderate bitterness. Clear honey. Finishes with more mild hop fruits. Goes down easy.

Hand pulled pint in a straight sleeve glass, poured at my local Spoon’s on a Wednesday ‘Real Ale Day’ during Sep 2011 (all cask beers at £1.89 a pint). Amber, dirty golden coloured body, almost clear, but no quite. On top an off-white head of tight bubbles. The smell was of grains and grass, with a hoppy citrusy bitter-sweet undertone. Fairly sweet initially on the tongue, but the hops kick in fairly swiftly after that and it certainly has a bitter finish. It has a pronounced grainy feel in its taste and texture, almost gritty in fact, very different to most UK Premium Bitters. I prefer malts and sweeter beers normally, this didn’t fall anywhere near that category, but I still enjoyed drinking it; in fact I had another pint just to make sure I got the flavours right for this review. Interesting brew, the first I’ve had from this brewery, I’ll look out for more.

Hand pulled at the Pretty Bricks, Walsall. Pale gold. Pretty featureless Golden. Slight citrus tang, which is slightly icey and sharp. Reasonable.
