Cask at the Wandsworth Common Spring BF, Le Gothique, London. Pours clear, shiny gold with a fine, foamy white head. Nice aroma of orange citrus. Light to medium sweet flavor with more citrus, some doughy malts and straw. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Faintly sticky to finish with straw bitters, zesty citrus rind. Very good, very well balanced.

Fairly pale golden, nice rounded lacing and crescent of a white cap. Nose is dry MDF grassy melon. Initial taste is racked nectarine sweetness in abundance which doesn’t fade very quickly. Loose carbonation and fairly heavy in contrasty mouthfeel. Finishes richly sweet, lemon and oddly thinning long strap. Linger is warped citrus, tinny and oddly bitter. Quite brightly sweet but slogged out by wet dough and overly citrus backend. Cask, Foot Of the walk.

Pint at JDW Sutton (Surrey) A: Golden, hazy decent head with moderate retention and lacing. S: Berries, yeast, esters. T: Followed the nose, a bit fruity, bitter side of bittersweet. M: Watery texture, not much in the way of carbonation, smooth. O: Good pint, a bit of a Belgian style single/golden/pale ale.

Cask at the Hop Pole, Aylesbury, 28/02/15. Clear golden with a decent off white covering that retains well, good lacing ensues. Nose carries floral elements, bread dough, light citric peel, spice, lemon rind. Taste comprises orange, perfume, light melon, bread dough, pale malt. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough GB.

Bottle at home, not sure exactly where it came from, but Vale beers aren’t exactly rare. Poured a pale golden colour, with a thin white head. Aroma of peaches, grass and floral hops. Soft fruit flavours, with some straw and pine. Finish was dry cereal, bitter spruce and raisins.
