COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Occasional.
Packed with hops this month’s special is dedicated to the unique properties of the hop. Galena, Willamette and Northdown each added at different times in the boil provide a superb bitterness, but with a fruity, floral flavour and a heavy aroma of spring.

Cask at the Bridge House, Belfast. Golden with a creamy off-white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma with malt. Medium to light body. Fruity, hoppy and quite refreshing. Nice, lasting bitterness. Light, creamy and very easy to dring. Good session beer! (2011-06-10)

Pint at the Old Manor in Bracknell. Cloudy golden orange with a good head on it. Decent citrus hop aroma. Hoppy, a touch watery, with a little light fruit, and its bitter. Disappointing.

Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Amber with slight head. Thin, malty bready beer with a touch of twiglet about it, some nuttiness, almond perhaps but badly kept by the looks.

berkshirejohn (3648) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - APR 26, 2012
Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Hazy amber with a thin white head; aroma of lightly malted grains; soft and citrusy in the mouth, with a bready body; and a light citrus bitterness. Certainly not "packed with hops".

Cask Crystal Palace Glasgow. Pours light golden faint haze. Probably getting to end of cask. Aroma grassy with faint hop. Taste thin with pale malt underlying slight citrus fruit. Disappears quickly with slight malt vinegar finish. Nothing memorable and definitely another mis-named offering.

Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks 12-04-10 Pours gold with a white wispy head, clear. Light hoppiness on the nose. Good bitterness in the mouth allied with a silky honeyness, but bitterness not in the least bit aggressive, dry finish, another nice monthly special from Vale. A7 A4 F7 P4 Ov14 3.6
