3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tasted this in the Last Post, Paisley (JDW) in October 2011. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear ruby red with a buff head. Slight berry fruit in the short aroma. Thin mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a fruity malt flavour with pink grapefruit and redcurrant notes. Orange hop tang in the citrusy aftertaste. Finish is woody dry with liquorice and bramble fruit notes. An ok session bitter which slightly resembles Everards Old Original.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cask handpull at Folkestone Spoons. Clear deep mahogany colour with lasting beige head. Its a decent toasty roasty brown dry bitter with some decent brambley fruit. Good mouthfeel. Touch of spice on the dry malt finish. I thought good and fits its name well. I would be happy with a couple of pints of this.
