Cask handpull, The Criterion, Leicester. Softly perfumed lemongrass and straw flavour. Good malted milk linger, attempts at softer tropical fruits, hint of dank. Orange amber, speckle of froth. Orange peel tang aroma. Well worth seeing off.

Cask, handpump at The Hop Pole, Aylesbury, Bucks 08.11.10 This was a stunner both in looks and in the taste department. Pours gold and was in simply sparkling nick with a medium white head atop. This has a wonderful bittersweet balance, lovely fresh clean hops, juicy as hell with a nice sweet malty undercurrent but the hops soon snap back. Iíve now had thirty nine beers from Vale over the years this is quite easily the best of them, nothing else has scored over 4.0 from me. Quality stuff indeed! A7 A5 T9 P4 Ov16 4.1

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Gold with a small white head. Fruity aroma: grape or lime perhaps. Pleasant sweet taste with a little biscuit. Mid bitter finish. Quite good.
