Cask handpump at The Regal (Wetherspoons), Cambridge.
Clear copper with a good-sized head. Cereal and hops in the scent. Some carbonation, a bit dry. Caramel and biscuit malts in the mouth. Quite nice at first but then turns quite bland.

Oct 18, 2009 A beer choc full of exciting nutty buzzes and mellow malts. It has a tingly carbonation that really adds a brightness to the flavour. Hints of chocolate and hazelnut give a delicious sweetness.

Oct 1, 2009 Cask @ Ascot Beer Festival 2009. A good amber orange colour with a thin white head. The aroma is all hops with a hint of citrus, the taste is dry with a light bitterness.

Jul 5, 2009 On tap at the Kings Head, Monmouth. Clear amber colour with a thin white head and good lace. Bad aroma, smells rather like stale manure. Hoppy hints and bit of fruity pear tangyness. A clear decent beer with a nice flavour.

Jul 3, 2009 Cask/handpump at Lord Moon of the Mall, London. Red-brown with a lacy white head, smells of malt, fruit, beeswax, nice balance on the tongue of grassy hops, bitterness, slightly plummy malt and nuts. Bitter finish. Very nice session bitter.

May 28, 2009 Bottle. Lively upon opening and poured with a big head that hung around for a long time. Some nuttiness. Not bad but rather predictable.

Mar 19, 2009 Cask, The Victoria Inn, Rugby. Brassy dark gold lidded with white. Musty celery-hinting aroma with shrubby Germanic touches. Cherry and marzipan peeping through caramel, not a lot happening. Big floury finish. Not great.
