A beer choc full of exciting nutty buzzes and mellow malts. It has a tingly carbonation that really adds a brightness to the flavour. Hints of chocolate and hazelnut give a delicious sweetness.

Cask/handpump at Lord Moon of the Mall, London. Red-brown with a lacy white head, smells of malt, fruit, beeswax, nice balance on the tongue of grassy hops, bitterness, slightly plummy malt and nuts. Bitter finish. Very nice session bitter.

Bottle. Lively upon opening and poured with a big head that hung around for a long time. Some nuttiness. Not bad but rather predictable.

UPDATED: APR 25, 2011 1)Cask, The Victoria Inn, Rugby. Brassy dark gold lidded with white. Musty celery-hinting aroma with shrubby Germanic touches. Cherry and marzipan peeping through caramel, not a lot happening. Big floury finish. Not great.
2) The Shoes. Rerate? Swish of fern and mineral sourness, eggy dough sprinkled with vanilla; sultana. Weetabix afters. Clear bronze with firm nitro collar. Sour mineral, slight woodland aroma. Dull and decent. 353612.

Cask in the 3 judges. Aroma is malty, floural small citrus hints. Taste is similar with grassy hops dominating, tasty enough and sessionable.
