500 ml can from SAQ, served cool in a tulip glass.

App.: Cloudy light golden with a fairly large, fluffy white head. Aroma: Dirty yeast, a little banana-like ester, some earthiness, a bit citrusy, has some definite Wit character, wet bread dough, grainy, wheaty, kinda muddled. Palate: Medium body, creamy texture. Flav.: Cardboard, a little banana, some grain/cereal/wheat, a touch of citrus, some yeast and wet dough, blah; dry with minimal bitterness and a cardboard, banana, grainy finish.

Not great.

Nice fresh bottle from beerworld....Light nose of banana and clove. Pours a paler lightly hazy yellow in glass. Thick white head. Lighter side of hefeweissen for me. A nice post lawn mowing session brew.

Less expensive glass-bottled hefe weizen, i found several times at 1€ per 0.5L. Last one was draught from 5L keg. Dark hazy yellow with fluffy head. Smells not so good, mostly yeast, feel of banana and clove. Smooth, creamy, medium bodied and highly carbonated. OK.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2015 5/15/2011 A few samples from a 50cl Bottle, brewed in Mannheim according to the label. Hazy yellow colour, thick white head. Aroma of banana, clove, yeast, sweet. Flavour is sweet, banana, wheat, spicy, clove, light papery sourness in the finish. Medium bodied. Need to re-rate, but I actually quite liked this. 747314 A bit more lemony and artificial than I recalled. Aspartame definitely present. It’s OK, but gets boring towards the end. 736313

500ml bottle, maybe the cheapest import of the style in the store. Pretty unexceptional hefe all around. Skews neither banana nor clove. Slightly sweet. Still fairly refreshing, and it’s my first of the year.

Trinkbar. Test vom 14.2.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,7,8,8,7,7

I’ll be honest... right out of the bottle this one throws off a funky, noxious aroma. OK, so it’s a bit better once that initial ass odor recedes.. it’s a hefe I can deal with it. Aroma is of banana and clove and it just smells creamy and smooth. Lo and behold, creamy, smooth mouthfeel. Nice banana flavor, a bit of bubblegum and lingering banana/yeast into the finish. I really love a good hefe and this one isn’t bold or memorable but it’s a good, solid brew and a good representation of the style.

500ml Can - Hazy golden with a foamy head. Banana, lemon and spice in the aroma. Banana, lemon and cloves feature in the taste. This can was rather cheap, but the beer is fairly enjoyable and drinkable.
