DandyWolfFloyd (200), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 13, 2008 Middle of the road. It’s a Hefe which is an introductory craft beer to novices, and this is a novice hefe. It aromatic classicaly with banana and wheat. It’s appearance is the classic hefe cloud and fluff head. It’s flavor is a bubble gum banana flavor. It’s also very smooth. I’d say a bit tart as well. It’s kind of run of the mill as far as Weizens go.

Bottle brown, 500 ml
Appearance: Pours cloudy - almost muddy body, looks medium bodied, density looks average, body hue is light to medium and is orangy - browny denoting some addition of Munich burned malt. Head initially is huge, ecrue in colour, almost creamy, dense, colour of the body is bit metallicgenerally nice but when compared to Paulaner looks slightly less lively and a bit darker. Head decreases quite quickly to a minimal froth what is a big minus of this beer.
Aroma: Yeasts and slightly alcoholic notes initially, some hints of stale rolls come after, when you plangue deeper you can feel fresh carrot, banana, whipped cream, butter, quite similar to carrot - banana juice extract like Polish ’Kubus’, hints of fresh citruese, some notes of winegrapes and cherries, quite interesting and rather complex aroma.
Flavour: Texture is wattery and generally the whole impression of taste is carbonated water - first of all. there are ntes of accidity, metallic impression om palate, than second of all bready, noticable notes of barley malts and wheat malt, yeast strain is also felt. There is very slightflowery aroma in nose from hops. Palate is not perfect as it is dominated by stickyness from the addition of extra sugar like blended in the body. Finish is apart from sticky sugar (like of candy origin), wattery, flat, short and unimpressive with some unfresh aftertaste. All in all much better aroma impression than flavour one.
Palate: Body is light to medium, texture is wattery, carbonation on palate is soft, finish feel is lightly alcoholic, accidic, a bit malty from barley and wheat, generally flat.
jredmond (587), New Jersey, USA Jul 12, 2008 500mL bottle. Pours a hazy orange with small white head. Aroma is strangely fruity - maybe clove? Taste is smooth, non complex - but refreshing like most hefes. sleepylopes (264), New York, USA Jul 2, 2008 smells like rancid oil hef and coriander. Hazy blond with a minimal head. Strange sour finish and no ballance. BuckeyeSammy (344), New York City, New York, USA Jul 2, 2008 Updated: Jul 5, 2008This one was actually a bit underrated. Very spiced carbonation that tingled my palate, fruity, yeasty. No balance to it, but somewhat enjoyable.
