COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a mead wine (fermented honey) aged on bourbon barrels pulled from a whiskey company. We then add fresh vanilla beans to the barrel along with a fresh shaved zest of ripe oranges. The honey wine exctacts the whiskey flavor from these barrels and subtle notes of vanilla and orange.

Poured into snifter glass a pure gold color. Aroma is honey, alcohol and a bit winey. Taste is honey and alcohol. Sweet in the sip and a little alcohol in the finish turned sweeter late in finish. Being of Lithuanian decent I love meads but they are hard to find in my area. This one is closer to what I remember without being to sweet, enjoyed. Available only at the winery in Shamong New Jersey.

Pale golden. Aroma is lots of barrel. Oak and booze. Flavor is nice. Earthy honey and oak. Bourbon stands out as waves of vanilla roll through. On the fuller side of medium. Sweet, tasty.

500ml bottle. Pours golden. Citrus aroma. strong vanilla accented by the barrel. Sweet, not cloying with nice honey character. Body coats your mouth and leaves legs on the glass. Great mead balanced and hides the alcohol well.

500ml bottle from the meadery. Pours a still, clear gold. Aroma of citrus, vanilla, honey, and oak. Taste is vanilla forward, with barrel, honey, and mild citrus. Medium-heavy mouthfeel. Excellent mead.
