2011 Elysian GPBF #7. Clear golden color/ white head. Dry pils malt, dry spice, candi sugar, coriander aromas. Medium bodied with average co2. Big sweet candi sugar, bready pils, GOP flavors--smooth easy finish--good.

Tan-bodied with a ring of head. Easy yeast nose--some brown sugar. Rather bland graininess. Fruity and punchy. More akin to a Belgian Pale Ale. Not much, if any discernable pumpkin character.

Draft at GPBF. Pours a hazy pale gold with a loose white head. Wheat tang and a bit of slightly funky yeast ester on the nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Not a very deep flavor profile here. Light wheat, breadiness, some gentle peppery yeast esters, not a lot of pumpkin. Can probably make the next batch a little more aggressive from the mash to the spicing to round out the flavor profile; this one’s a little bit bashful.
