Our Story
The strength and quality of a leader are tested many times. Joshua was challenged 31 times, and in each instance he prevailed over a different king, leading the Israelites into the promised land of Canaan. Joshua trusted in God to provide for their victory to such an extent that the passage of the moon and the sun stopped for one day so he could press the advantage over his foes.

Here at Valiant Brewing we have crafted our 31 Kings IPA trusting that it too will stop the passing of your day and cause you to wonder at its invigorating blend of hops all supported by a harmonious malt profile.

Tasting Notes
The IPA is the most popular beer style among craft beer lovers. They have an immense range of aromas and flavors. To set ours apart we focused on creating a powerful aroma that is flowery and herbal with hints of lemon and notes of passion fruit. 31 Kings has a balance of slight caramel malty sweetness that combines with an intense yet rolling bitterness profile. This also sets our IPA apart from others which focus on a punch in the face of hops rather than a harmony of bitterness and flavor. Finally, flavors of pine and orange trickle into the aftertaste allowing a clean and refreshing finish.

7 June 2013, tap at the brewery. Yellow, clear, some bubbles. Nose is lots if pine hops, mild alcohol, slightly sweet malt. Med body and moderately fizzy. Herbal, orange peel, mild alcohol. Ok. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Pizza Port San Clemente and for some reason I decided to order this instead of a second house beer, my bad. Pours a deep orange to almost brown with tan head. Next to no aroma. Some slight dankness and strawberry. Taste is malt forward but with enough character of a "fresh" IPA to know that the beer is likely not really old. Some citrus and grass. Overly malty and thick. Like a moderate homebrew with bad water.

Hazy orange pour with a white head. Initially a very nice beer. Grapefruit, dank, resinous pine aromas, and a bit of passion fruit. Slight bread/malt sweetness. The flavor has a nice bitterness along with some pine and grapefruit flavors. Slight tropical fruit notes and a nice floral quality. As it warms, it becomes a bit grassy and vegetal.
