2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Large sample from Tim Bekmaz (Sales rep) at The Clay Oven in Irvine California on 14th July 2014 at a beer and Indian food evening. Deep golden hue to the body, clean white crown. I can not pretend that Blond Lagers are one of my favourite types of beer but this one was fine. The nose was slightly citrusy with a floral undertone. The taste followed along in a similar way and had a decent bite to it’s flavours and palate. The malt content is there and semi-sweet in nature to add extra depth and balance the brew nicely.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours bright dark gold with aslight white head. Aroma is a bit spicy herb. Backed by pale malt. Med body, maybe. The flavor is too sweet and distracts my thoughts. Makes me think of East Euro lagers. There are bold tastes and flavors, all seemingly sweet, and I’m hard pressed to find the hop I thought I smelled. Not my thing at all.

3.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
If you want a crafty style of lager this is for you. Perfect balance of crisp and clean taste with an elevated abv. Hops are a bit more prevalent than most blondes, bit I prefer a little hoppiness. Would drink again. And again. And again.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a dark shade of yellow. Quite smooth. On point for what I expect from a blonde. Simple and tasty. One of my favorites from the Valiant line.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
On tap @ Valiant. Clear golden pour with a white head. Smells like hot dogs and candy. Corn, grain, and more corn. Really kind of off-putting savory aroma. Flavor is sweet sugar, corn, and grain. Grain husk, pennies, and white grape juice.
