Poured from 12oz bottle, pours black with a thin light brown head, the aroma is way sweet, tons of sugar and caramel and molasses, overkill almost, the flavor is much of the same, really sweet and rich with lots of molasses and some dark fruit, a little bit of spice too, thinner mouthfeel, really meh to me.

Terrible, terrible beer. Tart and tangy, waaaay overspiced. Horrible beer that reminds me of a first-time homebrew.

madvike (2582) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 30, 2013
Bottle - Big and dark with a thin tan head. Nose is burnt sugar, boozy warmth, molasses, and a weird dark malt/plastic mix. Taste is big and sweet, with brown sugar and molasses, bitter dark malt, a bit of roast, and some coffee grounds on the finish. Mouth coating in a weird filmy way, and lots of sugary sweetness throughout. Thick and slick, with minimal carbonation. Would have liked this beer 4 years ago, but not now. Gross.

Lemke10 (682) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 17, 2013
This pours a dark brown/black color with very little head. The aroma is sweet with molasses, toffee, and caramel. The taste is heavy and sweet with coffee flavors. It starts thick and creamy and ends with a chalky, malt after taste. A uniquely made “Swedish Style Stout.”

Dark brown pour with a tan head. The aroma is full of chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor is full of chocolate, roasted malt and a hint of dark fruit. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

bottle, thanks to khoffman43, dark brown with tan foam, chocolatey coffee and malt with some oatmeal and dark fruits, aroma has a bit of plastic note

Bottle poured a murky dark reddish brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of licorice, roasted malt, dried fruit and bitter chocolate. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth. Flavors of roasted malt, dark chocolate, licorice and light dried fruit with a smooth lingering dark chocolate finish.

Location: Bottle at Paul’s Blind Impy Stout Tasting, 1/5/13

Aroma: The nose is sweet and malty, has some booze and some caramel
Appearance: The beer pours an almost black color with a brown head
Flavor: Taste-wise, it is pretty much what you’d expect from the nose, sweet and a little boozy
Palate: The body is medium, with a decent feel, and a little bit of heat on the finish
Overall Impression: There was quite a bit going on here, so that was nice. It was a touch too sweet, and though maybe not a top of style offering, this one was pretty good in my opinion.

Bottle. Pours near black with a beige head. Relatively lower roasted malts, toffee, chocolate, and lighter dark fruity notes. Decent.

Bottle at Paul’s for the Blind Stout tasting. Pours a fairly clear brown with a thin white to beige head. Big sweet malt and roast on the nose . Cocoa and chocolate. Big and sweet, lots of roast, warming alcohol. Cocoa, chocolate, lots of sweetness into the finish. Tasty enough, but a bit too sweet.
