2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Very dark brown colour. The aroma is chocolatey. Flavour is chocolatey as well, but also slightly hot, with a hint of roasty acidity coming in late. Roast character is mild and unconvincing. Oh well, it seems popular enough - just not for me.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06.
Poured reddish brown color with an average creamy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted coffee and chocolate aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy smooth sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate duration.
My expectations where met with a solid beer.

Bottled: Pitch black coloured. Huge brown lasting head. Hops, light alcahol, roast and chocolate in the aroma. Fat malt flavour. Roast, hops, spices and fruits as well. Is nicely bitter in the end and has some coffee notes. CaptainCougar rocks as much as this beer.
