Tasted in 2010 (backlog). Golden in color and hazy with an average sized white head. Aroma is fruity with pomegranate and notes of bubble gum and fruit juice. Taste is of pomegranate, tart and lightly bitter.

Hazy orange amber beer, no head. Sweet toffee fruit nose. Smooth dry palate. Sweet Pomegranate well integrated with sweet malt. Sweet banana undertone. Pomegranate makes this fruit beer stand out from the crowd. Smooth and sweet.

Can’t remember where I got this, but cracked this open after it had aged for over a year at my Mom’s crib in SF. Nice cloudy medium orange pour, with fairly faint carbonation and a thick head. Very tart nose, with the pomegranate far more assertive than I’d expected. Body was lightly effervescent, with a slight acetic quality to the palate. The tastes disappointed a bit, because the pom flavors completely overpower anything to do with a saison, to my tastes. Bummer.

Pours a tan brown, tons of foam .. light fruit and a touch of funk .. . light in the mouth, pretty good and quite the surprise .. . the gingerman’s father is my grandpa..

Tasting at Paul’s place. The aroma is pomegranite, malty, flowers. The appearance is a translucent amber, white head. The flavor is sour, tart fruit, pomegranite, malty. The finish is pine hops. Medium in body. Good.

Bottle at the double 5k tasting. Pours a hazed brown with a thin white to beige head. Light fruit and musk. Sweet toast with light fruit. Tangy. Lingering sweetness and a nice musk on the finish.

Bottle shared at Paul and Ryan’s 5,000th rate tasting. Pours orange amber with a thin white head. Saison yeasty aroma with some light fruity sweetness. The flavor has saison yeasty, a light tart note, and some fruity pomegranate sweetness. Not bad.

Bottle purchased at the brewpub. Orange/amber pour, off-white head. Sweet fruit (like artificial pomegranate), sweet caramel malt, and light bread. This was bad, hard to drink.
