3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 oz. bomber. Pours a brilliantly clear golden orange with a medium, quickly dissipating off white head. The aroma was a little hard to pick up on for me. I did get a healthy dose of yeast, spices, and a bit more citrusy fruit than expected. Lemon, orange, caramel. The flavor is very big. Lots of yeast, and tart fruit, but it settles down with a lot of honey and caramel sweetness. This is a bit heavy handed for a very nuanced style, but it straddles the fine line between cloying and bold more so on the bold side. It has a very peppery bitter finish. The alcohol presence can not be ignored here. Pretty hot with a lot more dark pitted fruit coming out later. I enjoyed this beer because it epitomizes a Belgian style done the American way. Big, brash, and in your face! A culture clash, if you will. Love it. Ok... time to stop.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz bottle. Hazy orange-amber with a small white head. Aroma of bruised apple, fresh apple, key lime, kiwi, blackberries, and yellow cake. The flavor is sweet with an orange creamsickle quality, but alcohol dries out the finish. Bitterness is low and hops donít really show. Medium bodied and could really use some more carbonation. Far from flat, but this style just needs a lot of oomph to get it going, and it falls short here, which also affects the head. Golden strong is a really hard style to nail. Really hard. Decadent evil brings some interesting elements to the table, but doesnít quite bring them all together.

Bright gold, small white thin head. strong honey aroma, very much like mead. incredibly sweet, one sided. enough pollen dryness to keep it from cloying on my palate but this is honey all over.

Bottle shared by Lunch. Thanks Paul!
The beer is golden hued with a small white head that leaves faint traces of lacing on the glass.
The aroma brings herbal and floral notes, with additional scents of alcohol and a subtle yeast character.
This beer is overly sweet, with alcohol too prominent. The body is thin, and overall, this was pretty tough to drink. It wasnít horrible, but I didnít particularly enjoy it either. Nothing about this brew really embraced the Belgian style to me. Yeast character was subdued, and the alcoholic sweetness was just overpowering.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Appearance: Pours a translucent yellow gold with a every so slight red tint to it. A soap sudsy gathering of bubbles was all that could be found for head.
Aroma: Sweet, fruity perfume, musty Europhop and a bit of dry biscuity malt as well.
Taste: Spicy bitter hops, crisp dry champagne like fruitiness.
Mouthfeel: Crisp and juicy.
Overall: Best Belgian Golden Ale I have had to date.

On tap, Blue Palms. A surprise hit for me, given how difficult it is nowadays to get me to like another strong Belgian Golden Ale. Big fruit aroma, balanced by mild hay-herbal notes and Belgian sugars. Flavor jumps at you with its bold fruit notes, pear and peach come to mind. Rounded, creamy mouthfeel, flavors tend to linger. Interesting, bold brewing here, I liked it.
