4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Chickencoop (188) - California, USA - FEB 18, 2010
I’m really becoming a big fan of these folks beers. They (this and Uberhoppy) all seem to have big pine notes and very over the top hoppy, with just a tinge of malt, and if you like that balance, you’ll like these guys. This is a standard, and at a high standard, the typical west coast IPA, very drinkable at +7%, highly recommended. Get over the other trendy west coasters(RR, Stone) and branch out, these guys can make some beer, but brew in Stockton, don’t hold it against them.
4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 dtborelli (322) - Sacramento, California, USA - JAN 24, 2010
West coast IPA on tap @ Valley Brew
Pours Golden with a thin white head. Medium to heavy lacing on the glass. Strong aroma of floral hops and some citrus undertones. Flavor is almost exactly as the smell. You get what you smell. Hops, hops, and more hops. Good and not overly bitter given the strong hop notes. Some citrus sweet to the flavor as well. Good but not great. Would drink on tap again in a second. Smells lovely
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 corby112 (2214) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 13, 2010
Pours a clear golden amber color with caramel copper hues when held to a light source and a two finger off white head with excellent retention, slowly fading into a lasting cap and ring. Sporadic splotches of soapy lacing left behind.
Sweet citrus floral hop aroma with a lot lemon peel and grapefruit character in the nose along with slight caramel, biscuit and Graham crackery malt.
Crisp earthy hops with a lot of sweet citrus peel, mango and grapefruit. Slightly earthy and dry with subtle pine lasting throughout over a caramel, biscuit and graham crackery malt backbone that is a bit too strong for my liking.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Snojerk321 (2970) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 9, 2010
22oz bottle. Pours a cloudy golden orange with a big frothy off white head, spotty lacing. Nose was dried citrus with some cereal grain. Finishes fairly bitter with a good amount of citrus.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 aracauna (2869) - Georgia, USA - DEC 30, 2009
This is just smaller and lighter than the Uberhoppy. Seems like this is basically a smaller version of the Uberhoppy’s recipe.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 jazz88 (2471) - San Francisco, California, USA - NOV 10, 2009
Bottle. A misty golden amber color with a white head. A resin hop and fruity aroma. Fantastically balanced. Smooth and delightful on the palate, not overly hoppy or bitter but clearly strong and inviting.
3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 GT2 (5810) - Jurupa Valley, California, USA - NOV 10, 2009
22oz bomber courtesy of wavers1.
Pours a slightly hazy light amber with high carbonation and a two-finger, off-white, rocky head that has insane retention and leaves giant sheety lacing. Leaves a big poof ball of head in the center after it settles down like a scoop of ice cream. Looks like a Belgian triple more than an IPA. Awesome aroma of super intense pina colada, pineapple, caramel. Taste has a serious alcohol presence- more than even some DIPAs. Holy this is good. The only letdown is that the beer moves to big piney and bitter hops instead of citrus, fresh hops.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 pantanap (3200) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 17, 2009
22oz bottle from cpferris... Pours a medium apricot brown with a medium fluffy white head... Softer citrus hop aroma with some floral aspects as well. Light malt backbone... Crisp citrus hop flavors with a lighter malt profile. Maintains a nice citrusy consistency and a mild bitterness in the finish. Medium to lively carbonation. Damn drinkable.
