Commercial Description:
Überhoppy Imperial IPA: Hops, hops glorious hops! There is no mistaking what this beer is; soft and delicate it is not. Überhoppy is meant to completely overwhelm you with resinous, floral, citrus and herbal hops barely balanced by a huge amount of malt that keeps the Lupulin onslaught from resulting in complete palate destruction. If you do not like hops, Überhoppy is NOT the beer for you, do us all a favor and either give this beer to someone with the intestinal fortitude to appreciate it or put it down and walk away. Überhoppy is brewed with 10 different hop varieties and a complete and utter disregard for common logic or sanity. Please consume this beer as soon as possible to ensure maximum hop freshness. Approximately 11.3% ABV.

Bottled (thanks omhper). Dark copper coloured, small off white head. Aroma of beautifully balanced hops. Flavour of a lot of hops and fruits. Mago and nectarine all the way through. A bit harsh grassiness starts to show, so Per was most likely right about that this may be on it’s way going bad... Except for the harsh grassyness underneath, very lovely!

Sampled at RBSG. Lots of hoppy aromas. Citrus, pineaple, mango. Flavors of pine and grass and more grapefruit and a wonderful maltiness that is detectable in the finish. Good good Good

tasted off of a growler....a decent beer...but it tastes kinda grassy and lacking in the hop complexity that I assume with a top 50 beer.....and it just was rough on the edges...and super overpowering hop flavor

Big thanks to Hophead84 for letting me swill off his growler. Pours hazy amber with a moderate sized white head, some lace. Smells dark citrusy and slightly floral, caramelly as well. Tastes caramelly malty sweet with some very dark, bitter citrus hop flavors. Lots of alcohol flavor as well. Full body, somewhat subdued carbonation.

Tap at brewery. This was a great beer. Poured a dark orangish color, very dark DIPA. Nice hop bitterness, with a good malt backbone. Just outstanding.

On tap at VB. One thing I can say about this IIPA is that it is balanced. The malt is caramel in flavor, and the hop profile just tastes green! It is like drinking hop juice. Lots of florals in this one, but not that acidic (doesn’t seem to be high in Alpha Hops.) The aftertaste is a nice, grassy note that sicks around for a while. Excellent IPA that really isn’t like any other I’ve had. It almost has a cask conditioned flavor to it. The only downside was that it had a strong alcohol burn to it - this was more so fresh. After some oxidization from "growler conditioning" for an hour (the ride home) some of the fire died down.
