at the brewpub, loads of chocolate malt coming off of a deep brown body with scarlet highlights and a nice cream colored head. the flavor was nice, a little oversweet with chocolate, but i personally liked that. the tail had a little more bitterness than i prefer, but the biggest complaint i had with this was it’s body, which was very thin and watery for a porter.

Part of the sampler at the brewery. Slight roasty taste. Nothing special. A little weak.

Medium dark brown body. Aroma is sweet carmel malts. Nice smooth carmel flavor with a little roasted malt in the finish. Pretty good.

POured dark in the glass that when held up to the light burned red. No head whatsoever. Aroma was of roast and flavor followed suit with a discernable sweetnes throughout. Very watery beer for the style. Just wasn’t heavy enough.

Poured a reddish, mahogany color with a thin to non-existant off white film for a head with very little lacing on the glass. Aroma of fudge, roast, chocolate, and sweet mollassas. Taste here was fairly bland as well, chocolate and roast, but a watery mouthfeel.
