at the brewpub, loads of chocolate malt coming off of a deep brown body with scarlet highlights and a nice cream colored head. the flavor was nice, a little oversweet with chocolate, but i personally liked that. the tail had a little more bitterness than i prefer, but the biggest complaint i had with this was itís body, which was very thin and watery for a porter.

POured dark in the glass that when held up to the light burned red. No head whatsoever. Aroma was of roast and flavor followed suit with a discernable sweetnes throughout. Very watery beer for the style. Just wasnít heavy enough.

Very dark pour. Sparkling clear mohogany when held up to very bright light. Creamy, khaki-colored head. Mostly diminishing.
The aroma is of roasted nuts, milk chocolate and coffee.
Flavors of light chocolate and coffee up front. Fairly well balanced and moderately bitter, but a bit thin and watery on the backside.
Barely medium-bodied with a watery mouthfeel and soft carbonation.
Short and dry finish.
