Taster at beerfest (fountain square as will subsequent ratings for the evening). Strong honey sweet. It’s a mead.

Bottle shared by brew3crew. Labeled "Sweet Golden Honey Mead"; 11.5%. Clear golden color. No head or lace. Awesome, kind of woody straight-up honey aroma. Lightly floral. Hint of spice. Nice big body, good thick almost honey-like consistency and thickness. Nice big sweet taste, light spice and wood, not cloying. Great still meads, no gimmicks.

750 ml bottle shared by Jason- thanks again! "Honey Mead" - redundant, but they say it cuts down on questions because most visitors are clueless about mead. Pours a clear gold with decent legs and no head. Aroma of honey and sweet apples, a little sweaty. Flavor of honey and not much else. Medium-bodied (bigger than it looks), with no carbonation and a sweet, coating mouthfeel. Solid mead.

Bottle shared by brew3crew. Pours a crystal clear golden color with zero head. The aroma and flavor have sweet honey with a hint of alcohol. Very smooth with good mouth feel. For what it is, this is tasty.

750 ml bottle to snifter (shared by brew3crew). Looks good for the style; a still transparent honey. Smells solid; well-balanced honey. Tastes like it smells with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. Good mead.

Deep golden color out of the wine bottle. Still. Rich sweet honey and oak nose. Big sweet honey flavors. Really thick, full flavored honey mead.

Bottle sample. Poured clear pale color with good legs. Moderate tart fruit, honey and small alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a thick smooth texture and long legs. Medium tart floral fruit and honey flavor with a medium to heavy complex sweet finish of moderate duration. Pleasing smooth alcohol burn. Good mead.

Draft sample at the Annual Wine & Beer Festival. This is a super sweet mead and is pretty much dominated by the honey from start to finish. If you like sweet meads, this is for you. If not, bring your own spices. Thicker, silky mouthfeel that honestly reminded me of honey. Side Note: their wines were honestly surprisingly nice (the sweets were a little better than the drys to me) and an excellent deal for the money.

My first mead, pours golden, aroma is not too great, strong booze apple and honey. Taste is waaaay better, sweet honey flavors and also sweet apple and pear with beautiful smooth and thick palate. Love it and can’t wait to try more mead.
