On tap at the restaurant next to the brewery. Hazy caramel brown with a tan head. Medium malty aroma with notes of dark fruits, caramel, dark bread and hints of spices. Medium to moderate sweet with nice malty flavours and a fairly light bitterness. Balanced and easy to drink.

Tap. Hazy dark copper color. Small size, off-white head, forms a ring. Bready, raisins, grainy, toffee, slightly buttery aroma. Toffee, grainy, dark chocolate, ashy roast in taste. Nice roasty bitterness in aftertaste. Slightly rubbery mouthfeel.

330ml tap@Valmiermuiza alus tirgotava, with Stefan. Brown body with beige layer on top. Dried fruit, apple, figs and dates. Rather weak aroma on these Valmiermuiza brews. Tastes a hit better than it smells, roasted coffee, charcoal, dates, burnt bread crust. Too carbonated! Leather finish.

The head is medium, body brown and cloudy. It smells malty, less hoppy, a bit yeasty, dry, mild. The taste is malty, darkmalty, bit fruity, aromatic, bit yeasty, creamy. Medium 11/11/11/10/-/11

Big pale brown head. Hazy brown body with carbonation. Earthy dusty caramelly aroma with minty grainy chocolatey notes. Dryish earthy grainy caramelly taste with syrupy dusty notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish caramelly wooden earthy aftertaste with herbal grassy notes. Nice, drinkable, and vivid. (0.3l draft at Valmiermuizas alus tirgotava, Riga.)

Valmiermuiza is a delicious, award winning beer (and it has one of the best looking labels in my opinion) My only problem with it is the palate. All of their beers have a very peppery feeling to them, and they leave your throat feeling dry. If you don’t mind that, definitely try this out.

Keg (Tallinn Town Square, Ethnic Minorities day)
5+ pooey plant matter and caramel aroma.
4 Dark brown, tight head.
6 Sweet roast, yeasty and very meaty. A touch mushroomy too.
4 It was cold initially, but as it warmed it became smoother. Gentle hops in the finish. A good meaty roast too.
13 I was cold, and the beer was colder, so this was hard to appreciate, some guesswork and extrapolation was inevitable. Should rerate.
