Big pale brown head. Hazy brown body with carbonation. Earthy dusty caramelly aroma with minty grainy chocolatey notes. Dryish earthy grainy caramelly taste with syrupy dusty notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dryish caramelly wooden earthy aftertaste with herbal grassy notes. Nice, drinkable, and vivid. (0.3l draft at Valmiermuizas alus tirgotava, Riga.)

Valmiermuiza is a delicious, award winning beer (and it has one of the best looking labels in my opinion) My only problem with it is the palate. All of their beers have a very peppery feeling to them, and they leave your throat feeling dry. If you don’t mind that, definitely try this out.

5+ pooey plant matter and caramel aroma.
4 Dark brown, tight head.
6 Sweet roast, yeasty and very meaty. A touch mushroomy too.
4 It was cold initially, but as it warmed it became smoother. Gentle hops in the finish. A good meaty roast too.
13 I was cold, and the beer was colder, so this was hard to appreciate, some guesswork and extrapolation was inevitable. Should rerate.
