COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed for La Société Brassicole de Valmy (http://www.biere-de-valmy.fr) by Brasserie d’Orgemont. Previously brewed by the IFDM and Brasserie des Champs, some of the production might be brewed in Belgium.

Sweet bread notes, spicy like allspice or clove, light bitterness character, and Belgian yeast. Opaque (bottle-conditioned) red-amber with off-white foamy lacing head. Medium body with medium-heavy carbonation, very nice. Starts medium sweet, very bread-y and yeasty, not acidic, and no bitterness. Notes of clove or sweet spicyness. Finish has a little acidity, more bread/yeast taste, and a hint of bitterness. After is pleasantly dry and yeasty. Overall, a bit watery, but very nice taste. Reminds me a lot of a less citrusy Franziskaner Dunkelweizen.

Bottle Conditioned, 330ml, from Chateau fort de Sedan, France. Hazed blood orange with white head. Sweetish beer with a light clovey, vague spice and a background of toffee, caramel. it comes together though in a decent package, although a wet cardboard, CO2 note is strangely present. Overall pretty reasonable.

Bottled. Murky brown beer with a strong head. The flavour is vinous and fruity and the aroma is musty and fruity. Overall a good french beer but not a particularly good Belgian ale.

Poured from the bottle (courtesy of Todd), a cloudy dark orange with a good sived head. A strong yeasty aroma with hints of honey. A citrus-wheaty flavour, but maybe a bit tart and too much carbonation.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and caramel as well as a light acidic edge of lemon. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and straw, as well as lighter notes of fruit, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Bottle. [After party @ Papsoe, thanks buddy] Small fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Somewhat cloudy golden color. Mild fruity and hint of herbal notes. Over the palate came strong notes of spice and fruit with mild grain. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and light dry texture. Moderated sweet flavor with a hint of bitter and acidic notes. Light spicy sweet malty finish. 5 / 3 / 5 / 3 / 12
