I know I wrote down notes on this somewhere but who cares, there is no sense looking for them. This was bad, metallic, hay, vomit. asedzie (457), San Francisco, California, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Dec 14, 2006 335 ml. can from local grocery store. Bright yellow with white head. Malty flavor dominates, but there is a small background of hoppiness that lingers in the aftertaste. After drinking Asian beer for months, I would say that this is one of the few Chinese lagers with any hop flavor whatsoever. On the side of the can in Chinese it notes that there are german hops, but I can’t decipher what kind, the Chinese use character sounds to transliterate western words. Something like "He-Er-Te" hops, so I’m guessing Hallertau. So the hop flavor is slight, but it makes this beer more drinkable than most. If you are in Hong Kong or Taiwan, I would suggest it over most of the locally brewed beers. beervana (781), Libertyville, Illinois, USA

Canned on 3/8/06. Poured clear golden yellow with small white head. Soft carbonation. Sweet malt aroma. Light bodied that starts dry with light malt sweetness. Finished dry with malty aftertaste. No discernable hop presence. A typical generic Chinese lager. Nothing particularly memorable about this beer. drpimento (883), La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA

Typical, but fresh, pale lager aroma. Pale yellow color. Little bit of lace. Not bad flavor for this kind of beer. From a big bottle that I got in Hong Kong a month ago and brought home to sample with friends. omhper (12335), Stockholm, Sweden
