Bottle. Hazy gold with a thin to medium head. Aroma was quite fruity with a little Belgian yeast. Flavour some yeast, hops, and something I canít put my finger on, angel tears and mermaid piss perhaps? Didnít like it.

Pours golden with a medium head: looks like your average lager. Aroma is fresh lemon juice with a hint of bitterness. Flavor is more bitter with some malts and citrus. The alcohol doesnít taste too much. Pretty decent if youíre not too thirsty.

UPDATED: APR 19, 2011 33cl bottle courtesy of Travlr. Hazy golden with lots of carbonization and a creamy rocky head. Aroma of malt, bread and hops. Lots of bitter hops and citrus notes in the taste. Long citrus bitter aftertaste. Very refreshing beer that is a gift from heaven on this hot summer day!

In short: A sharp, citric, tart and lightly hoppy Belgium blonde ale. Good session beer.
How: Bottle 330ml. Consumed fresh the day of purchase while in Belgium
The look: Cloudy blonde body topped by a large white head
In long: Nose is lightly hoppy (very lightly) with also notes of whip cream. Taste has the basic elements of a Belgian blonde ale, fruity notes of citrus fruits and fruit salad. Good amount of leafy fruity hops, not the noble hops Iíve come to expect from a Belgian ale. Finish is mildly bitter with resinous notes and an aftertaste of lemon and pineapples. Overall very citric and tart. If anything this Belgian Bitter is more tart than bitter. Body is rather full, a bit oily and the carbonation is very lively. Given its name Iím not sure the beer succeeds at what it wants to be but I donít care, this is a good beer whatever its name. I only had two beer from this small brewery. One was total crap and this one was pretty nice. Iím no math genius but from my experience so far thatís over 1/3rd of bad beer.

Bottle, 8.5%. Violent gusher. Cloudy golden colour. Very big stable rocky white head. The flavour is nicely malty with a distinct and very clean bitterness. Very well-balanced.

PorterPounder (5971) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 28, 2010
Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 750 ml cage corked bottle. Pours a urine specimen hazy dark golden with a bit of a puffy white head. Tart aroma with some slight hints of lemon and a heavy does of yeast. flavor has a heavy grainy presence and it reminds me somewhat of fruity pebbles. Yeastiness permeates throughout. Some lemony tart accents in the back end redeem it just a bit. Mouthfeel has some decent carbonation. Overall, just a tad underwhelmed.

75cl bottle. Large, rocky off-white head atop yeast-hazy apple juice body, nice lacing. Aroma is moderately sweet, apple, some yeast, light hay, grape. Taste is medium sweet, straw, some orange, light yeast. Soft medium body, alcohol well contained.

On tap at the White Horse, Parsons Green, 21st April 2010 (33rd Birthday drinks). Hazy light gold with a line of white head. Citrus nose, light fruity taste of white wine grapes and some berries. Soft palate that hides the strength well. Pretty good.

Hermod (3905) - Vantaa, FINLAND - APR 24, 2010
Bottle from S:t Urhos Pub. Poured golden color, foamy huge head. Odd spicy aroma , flavor bitter sweet , spices and berries? This one was not what I had expected, not very drinkable.

Bottled. Slightly hazy golden colour with a foamy mediumsized head. Aroma is fruits, wood, spices, some berries as well as mild yeastyness. Flavour is spices, yeast, some fruity and floral hops as well as mild bready notes as well. Strange stuff.
