Bottle. Pale gold color with a huge frothy white head. Light noble hop aromas. Mild malt flavor with citrus/coriander and floral hop. Mildly bitter. Hard to believe it’s 8.5!

pivnizub (8800) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - APR 5, 2009
Bottle: Golden, a bit unclear, huge fluffy white head that slowly collapses, visible carbonation; moderate sweetish-sourish aromas of fruits and grains over a solid hoppy background; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, soft-creamy MF; lingering hoppy-sweetish finish. Good brew.........

sayravai (4674) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 21, 2009
(Bottled) Hazy yellow-golden with a huge, bubbly and lacy head, and eventually faint Duvely clouds. Pale-malty, lightly fruity aroma with lemony-grassy hops, and honey hints. Somewhat acidic, dry and slightly ashy flavor with pale malt, grassy bitterness, and a very dry finish. Long, bitter and dry aftertaste. Yeasty part is like witbier without spices. Hides the ABV pretty well. Medium body, foamy carbonation. Dry and hoppy, but a bit harsh overall, lacking the balancing fruitiness.

MoritzF (8464) - Bochum, GERMANY - MAR 18, 2009
(33cl bottle) Hazy, pale golden colour with a huge frothy white head. Yeasty, sourish citrus-fruity aroma with shy flowery and dusty notes. Bitter and slightly sour flavour, medium bodied with a fizzy carbonation. Fruit-accented malty taste with floral and bitter hops. Dry and fruity bitter finish. The alcohol is well-hidden (17.III.09).

330ml bottle (Poirotti Kallio, Helsinki)
Soft, but quite pleasant aroma. Full palate, malty and a touch sweet, but not sticky. Very hoppy. Dry and resiny, but also very drinkable. Covers 8.5% wonderfully.

(Bottle, 0.33 l -- shared with FatPhil, thanks -- at St. Urho’s Pub, Helsinki, on 2009-03-13) Golden and hazy. Large ice cream like white head that lasts long. Fruty and grassy aroma, when yeast is poured in aroma turns frutier and sweeter. Full bodied palate with quite a lot of carbonation. Fruitiness, grass, sweetness and bitterness in taste. Bitter and sweet aftertaste.

750 ml bottle@Kallion Poirotti, Helsinki. Slighty cloudy golden color, huge lasting white head -- very much like Duvel. Bitter flavor with grapefruit and lemon rind. Not sure I would call this an ESB. Interesting brew in any case.

Bontus (630) - Flanders, BELGIUM - FEB 19, 2009
On tap @ Backdoor pub. Pours very very clear yellow with a nice white head. Very carbonated & fizzy. Good hopbitter, grapefruit, lemon, herbs. Very watery body, can’t believe this is 8.5%

33cl from tap in the Backdoor, yellow blond beer with strong large foam head. touches of bitter citrus light flavour I thought first is was an other light beer than 8,5%.
