3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught at Oosters, Singapore on 18/04/15. Golden colour, slightly cloudy with an off-white creamy head. Soft to medium carbonation. Aroma of sweet malt, grass and hops. More sweet than bitter. Fruity, malty and a little dry. Strong - the alcohol does come through. Simular to a strong Leffe Blonde. Pretty good.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
330mL bottle from The International Beer Collector BB 06/03/15
Pours a big, rocky, creamy white typically Belgian-looking head atop a slightly cloudy blonde body.
Spicy sort of nose - floral herbal, slightly woody hops, bit of nutmeg/clove-like phenolic yeast character. ripe stonefruit note and toasty malt.
Rather dry body, some odd phenolic astrigency there, lifted carbonation - boozy might be aiding the dryness.
Light touch of sweet malt upfront, obvious white sugary note - not so well integrated - more of those ripe stonefruits, herbal hops. Rather bitter finish, dry, warming.
Seems to miss the mark a bit - too boozy, too bitter, maybe both?

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap @ Weeshuis Schiedam, medium sample. Clear yellow to golden color, short frothy head. Aroma of grassy hop, slight spicy and peppery yeast. Quite bitter for a belgian tripel style beer. Going towards Duvel and Westmalle Tripel, and that’s a compliment. Quite tasty in its grassy and flowery bitterness.

Golden coloured brew. A big ugly head, not my thing of foam. Decent grassy and a nice bitterness. OK.

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is yeast, citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet with a big dry yeast, hop bitter, light alcohol palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
6th Feb 2015: 33cl bottle in the lovely ’Yesterdays World Beers’ a bar inside an antique shop in Brugge. One of 65 different bottles to choose from (this being one of the two unrated by me). Mini-haze to the golden amber pour, white head on top. Fairly sweet for a ’bitter’ with mild hop nose soon taken over by the malt content, same in the taste. Easy to drink and pleasant, a nice blend in fact: crisp and sharp with the hop element, smooth and calmer with the maltiness. Better than decent.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma of fruits, yeast, malty notes, hint of hops. Flavour is moderate sweet with a welcome moderate bitter finish. Nicely carbonated. Good above-average bitter Belgian Ale.
