Pale yellow color with some sediments and a big lasting and frothy white head. Aroma is malty with citric and coriander notes. Flavor is very sour and acid, with a long bitter end. Body is average and carbonation is high.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap @ Weeshuis Schiedam, medium sample. Clear yellow to golden color, short frothy head. Aroma of grassy hop, slight spicy and peppery yeast. Quite bitter for a belgian tripel style beer. Going towards Duvel and Westmalle Tripel, and that’s a compliment. Quite tasty in its grassy and flowery bitterness.

Golden coloured brew. A big ugly head, not my thing of foam. Decent grassy and a nice bitterness. OK.

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is yeast, citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet with a big dry yeast, hop bitter, light alcohol palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
6th Feb 2015: 33cl bottle in the lovely ’Yesterdays World Beers’ a bar inside an antique shop in Brugge. One of 65 different bottles to choose from (this being one of the two unrated by me). Mini-haze to the golden amber pour, white head on top. Fairly sweet for a ’bitter’ with mild hop nose soon taken over by the malt content, same in the taste. Easy to drink and pleasant, a nice blend in fact: crisp and sharp with the hop element, smooth and calmer with the maltiness. Better than decent.

Aroma of fruits, yeast, malty notes, hint of hops. Flavour is moderate sweet with a welcome moderate bitter finish. Nicely carbonated. Good above-average bitter Belgian Ale.

Heldere gouden kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt kruiden, mout, hop. Smaakt bitterzoet, pils achtig, kruiden.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pale golden body, very tall head. Right after pouring 95% of the glass content was foam. Aroma has a mixture of dry hops and Belgian yeast. That must be a Belgian IPA. Sweet malty taste with a high level of hoppiness (for Belgians). Resembles Duvel in some ways but has a less sharp carbonation and ABV. Drinkable but nothing exciting.
