from Brouwerij Van Den Bossche Is blonde ale with lots of lemony/grassy hop aroma, very rich white foam and small crisp feel bubbles. Full of spicy, fruity flavors with a heart warming body.

Brun tåkete med høyt hvitt skum. Litt fruktig lukt, noe karamell. Rask bitter smak som fort forsvinner.

Draught at Oosters, Singapore on 18/04/15. Golden colour, slightly cloudy with an off-white creamy head. Soft to medium carbonation. Aroma of sweet malt, grass and hops. More sweet than bitter. Fruity, malty and a little dry. Strong - the alcohol does come through. Simular to a strong Leffe Blonde. Pretty good.

330mL bottle from The International Beer Collector BB 06/03/15 Pours a big, rocky, creamy white typically Belgian-looking head atop a slightly cloudy blonde body. Spicy sort of nose - floral herbal, slightly woody hops, bit of nutmeg/clove-like phenolic yeast character. ripe stonefruit note and toasty malt. Rather dry body, some odd phenolic astrigency there, lifted carbonation - boozy might be aiding the dryness. Light touch of sweet malt upfront, obvious white sugary note - not so well integrated - more of those ripe stonefruits, herbal hops. Rather bitter finish, dry, warming. Seems to miss the mark a bit - too boozy, too bitter, maybe both?

Pale yellow color with some sediments and a big lasting and frothy white head. Aroma is malty with citric and coriander notes. Flavor is very sour and acid, with a long bitter end. Body is average and carbonation is high.

Tap @ Weeshuis Schiedam, medium sample. Clear yellow to golden color, short frothy head. Aroma of grassy hop, slight spicy and peppery yeast. Quite bitter for a belgian tripel style beer. Going towards Duvel and Westmalle Tripel, and that’s a compliment. Quite tasty in its grassy and flowery bitterness.

Golden coloured brew. A big ugly head, not my thing of foam. Decent grassy and a nice bitterness. OK.

Bottle courtesy of Deanso. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head and lots of bubbles. The aroma is yeast, citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet with a big dry yeast, hop bitter, light alcohol palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.

6th Feb 2015: 33cl bottle in the lovely ’Yesterdays World Beers’ a bar inside an antique shop in Brugge. One of 65 different bottles to choose from (this being one of the two unrated by me). Mini-haze to the golden amber pour, white head on top. Fairly sweet for a ’bitter’ with mild hop nose soon taken over by the malt content, same in the taste. Easy to drink and pleasant, a nice blend in fact: crisp and sharp with the hop element, smooth and calmer with the maltiness. Better than decent.
