3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Fast fading toast-tan head serving a deep dark brown nearly black and hazy coloured beer. On the nose aromas of alcohol, roasted malt and bitter chocolate notes mingle which is supported by light soy sauce traces. On the palate a light fizzyness goes pretty fast into a slick medium oily texture all mantled by a full body. The taste is medium sweet with light sour notes to it whcih is round of by some bitter chocolate traces, especially latter one on the finish which is well balanced and lasting pleasantly on the tongue.

Candied sugar taste but lighter than expected. Chocolate hints can hide the plum taste. Drink at room temp. Not like an English stout.
---all in good suds.

A brown beer, with an excellent white head, which stay a very very ling time, a firm light beige head. In the nose there is a lot of yeast, chocolat and malty. It is a full bodied beer, with a low carbonation. In the taste there is yeast, iron, light sour, chocolat, light roasted malts. It is a very soft and creamy beer. In the aftertaste the iron is most prominant with in the background chocolat and alcohol. It is a decent beer, but it is not a stout!

One of the first stouts I ever had, before I ventured into the terrain of the British and American stouts. Nice beer, sweet, but still roasted and firm.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours out reddish black with a thin lasting head. Chocolate malt notes, sour lactic kick. Muted roasty malt flavor, black licorice side flourishes, and just a bit of tart bitterness. Foamy dry body, papery texture. Tough to get through a 750 although it doesn’t seem strong. Curious name choice too.
