3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Pours brown with a medium foamy tan head. Aroma, some fruits, roasted notes, yeast, caramel. Flavor, yeasty, spices, dark fruits, caramel, faint chocolate notes. Very smooth drinking with some mild bitterness on the finish lends a nice balance to it. Interesting.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The aroma was very estery and fruity with a strong earthy presence. The aroma contained a Belgian yeast spice and a bit of candy and caramel. Dark fruits, namely prunes, also were present. The beer poured into the glass clear dark brown with a amber hue. The head was so short lived the color was not notable, but was most likely off-white. The flavor was chocolate and caramel with a light espresso roastiness. The flavor was smooth and nicely bittered with either dark grains or hops so that the caramel malt was kept in check. The finish was dry with a dark chocolate and espresso finish which was understated and nice. The body was medium or just a bit more and the carbonation was moderate. A nice porter, or Belgian strong dark, but certainly not a stout. 750 ml bottle, corked and bailed.

Pours a dark brown almost black with a slightly redish tint. Aroma of fruit, chocolate and alcohol. Very smooth tasting beer consisting of cherry, spice, maltiness, alcohol and a slight bitter finish.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
What complexities! Poured a dark brown ruby body, thin with thick beige big-lacing head. Nose of dry biter chocolate but the flavor unlocked a tart, sour, yeasty and boozy Belgian complexity. WOW! This has got to be one of the neatest brews in some time. Try it for sure! I have to try and re-rate soon.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Corked 750. Pours clear dark brown with ruby highlights and a massive, lacy tan head. Aroma of brown sugar, spice, chocolate. Medium body and active carbonation. Sweet taste of chocolate, peach, Belgian yeast. Warm alcohol finish. Unusual for a stout, but the overall effect seems to work for me. And the bronco buster on the label indicates what?

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottled. This one was not what i would expect in a stout. Medium brown pour, off white frothy head, notable alcohol present on palate. That said I found this to be very enjoyable. Still not sure I’d call it a stout, but overall the package is good.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
[Bottle] Pours dark with a huge light tan head made up of large bubbles. Aroma is very sweet with some yeast and malt evident. Taste is very fruity and yeasty up front, then roasted malt in the finish with chocolate. Quite thick. A very unusual stout, but it definitely worked for me.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rating #500. Pretty tasty beer. Tastes exactly like what you would expect, very belgian flavors with a nice roasty, spicy palate as well.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pretty much what you’d imagine if you crossed a stout with a belgian... lighter brown than a stout should have, but a nutty flavor quite unique. Big off white head (also unlike most stouts), but the flavor is very enjoyable. Don’t know that I’d get this again as I like stouts being... you know, stout... but this is an enjoyable beer for the evening. Oh, and that’s not a buffalo on the label.. LOL
