2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled 0,33L. Black intense color, cooffe nut head of long duration. Braced cereals nose, aroma is moderate bitter and alcoholic with a modest roast malt rumors. Unbalanced alcoholic mouth, too smooth and dry palate with a moderate mentholated bitter end.

Drank on tap at Anders Beer Festival in Tongeren, Belgium. Dark ruby color with a very nice and persistent tan head. Aroma has some notes of roasted malt and sweetness like caramel. Flavor is the same but has a nice finish that bring the stout style back to me. :) Low carbonation and medium bodied with a nice bitter mouthfeel.

3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle into Duvel glass. Dark brown with a tan head - sits medium height but sturdy. Aroma a bit metallic and faint classic stout notes (coffee/chocolate). Palate is pleasantly viscous. Very sweet. A touch of chocolate syrup. Lots of depth here. The booze stays under the radar (@ 9%). Nice coffee finish. I think I first had this in the 909 with MBL. May have been a ruitsky "side beer" (obviously a mistake, but that was a different time). Now enjoying a Belgian representation of one of my favorite U.S. craft styles.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
33 cl. draft @ Kulminator. Pours black but not the blackest black with a creamy lightly tanned head. Nose is sweet liquorish, sweet syrup, dark sugar, light sticky roast, dark fruits, burned toast. Taste is liquorish, roast, syrup, touch sticky, Sirop de Liège, touch molasses, burned toast and finish is quite vinous. Syrupy body but not too heavy. Different, not bad but far from the best stout that I have had.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
33cl Bottle from De Hopduvel, Gent. Clear dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, alcohol, quite sweet and fruity, malts, molasses. Flavour is sweet, dark fruits, alcohol, hint of liquorice, light bitter alcoholic finish. Medium-bodied. Just a plain Belgain Strong Ale, has absolutely no stout characteristics. Disappointing.

33cl. Pours almost black with a huge long lasting beige head. A bit pungent aroma, malty, yeasty, alchool, coffee and I think some chocolate. Flavour is sweet, coffee with hints of chocolate. The 9% can be felt. Kind of sticky aftertaste

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice black beer with a nice beige head. Aroma of roasted malts. Flavour is very soft, roasted malts, a bit acidic due to the carbonation and slightly sweet. Nice stout. (Bottle 33cl)

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Dobry i tresciwy do tego bardzo bardzo aromatyczny. Winiakowy aromat i posmak. Kolor rubinowo-brazowy. Wielka piana i długo sie trzyma nad pokalem. Zbyt jednak mocne wysycenie ze piana sie wylewa przy srednio szybkim nalewaniu.
