En søt belgisk stout. Tydelig preg av belgisk gjær, litt rart for en stout... Men et nydelig øl.

Dobry i tresciwy do tego bardzo bardzo aromatyczny. Winiakowy aromat i posmak. Kolor rubinowo-brazowy. Wielka piana i długo sie trzyma nad pokalem. Zbyt jednak mocne wysycenie ze piana sie wylewa przy srednio szybkim nalewaniu.

4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
I can see this beer getting a bit misplaced. I am used to the American heavy stouts, so the expectation of a stout is that it will be heavy. This is from Belgium, and that has to be taken into account. It is not a heavy beer. It is rather light like a Belgian beer, but is a stout flavour. It almost doesn’t make sense, but given the context, this is an amazing beer.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
I couldn’t really believe what was happening when I drank this. The Belgian touch makes even a stout come out thinner than water, but with all the power of the US version. This particular brew is rife with overripe fruitiness, and an odd almost anisene darkness. The alcohol content gives it an almost vaporous quality which equates the experience to drinking the darkest meade you’ve ever had. A treat indeed.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is one of my favorite Belgians, I’ve had it many times and it never dissapoints. Although it’s marketed as a stout I think this is more of a dark Brune. Dark cadi sugar and burnt carmel with a solid amount of bitterness. Very good!

0,75 l bottle @ Poechenellekeder, Brussels. Very dark ruby to copper beer with a huge, blond beige head. Texture of the head is incredible: tick, firm and creamy. The aroma is full of dark fruits and dried, sugary dates. The malts roasted to medium level. Some licorice in the finish. The flavor is sweetish and fruity at first but turst to quite bitter and dryish in the finish. Syrupy sweetness of the malts and ashy finish are well balanced. The palate is full bodied, smooth and a bit sticky. Breat beer.

Black pour. Big creamy head. This beer is loaded with chocolate covered fruit and coffee scents. Flavor is malty sweet with lots of milk chocolate and fruit. Smooth.

tap at the old toad. i really like this brew. the belgian yeast was quite evident. it was sour all the way through however it finished with a nice roasty stoutlike finish. it was very complex and different. good stuff.
