COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An English style India Pale Ale hopped to the tilt with Fuggle and Goldings hops, bursting with bitterness but balanced with an all English malt complexity.

A rich and earthy IPA which is so well balanced. A nice amber pour, with good head retention. Some caramel on the nose with a hint of citrus. Not the standard hop driven IPA - very nice sweet malt character bringing in earthy notes. The big bottle suits this beer nicely!

Pours amber with a lasting head. Nose shows caramel, nutty malt and soft minty and floral hops. A bit weird, not exactly hoppy. Flavours include nutty, toasty and almost peated (???) malt alongside some very soft spicy hops and a bit of booze. Could use more carbonation. Seems more like an altbier with peated malt than an IPA....

500 ML bottle poured into a pint glass. Bought at Crown Cellars in Launceston. Had earlier in the night at Stillwater Restaurant. 2011 Release English IPA--- English Malts with Fuggle and Golding hops. A-- Poured a hazy orange amber color. Good glow to the beer. One finger off white head that slowly faded to film. Film stuck around through drinking and some head retention. A little bit of spotty lacing but otherwise a pretty nice looking beer. S-- Earthy citrus notes, especially lemon. Some orange marmalade as well. Light Toffee nose. T-- Once again earthy citrus but a more noticeable malt backbone. Well balanced between malt and hops in the taste. Well balanced bitterness. Just a bit to lemony at times though. M-- Medium to low body and medium to low carbonation. Quite oily feel. Toffee biscuit mid palate and Bitter tart lemon finish to this. Builds well to the finish in each sip. O-- Well hidden ABV and very drinkable. Would love to see this on a hand pump. Well balanced and quite drinkable. Good use of wasting malt and hops.

Bottle, 10C. Golden amber with a white head that fades a bit but lasts. A bit hazy but pretty. Aroma of biscuit, orange marmalade, apricots. Creamy, alive texture is a reminder of how much good bottle conditioning can add. Sweet caramel and biscuit, some stone fruit, creeping bitterness with oranges and flowers. Good stuff, right up my street. Hope these folks are real Taswegians or there’ll be trouble over that label.
