Another fun summer treat. I like the Strawberry better but this one is a close second.

A Mes rate: Bottle from Lowlander. Upon rating the cranberry I noticed I hadn’t rated this. "I’m sure we have had that", says Sim. A few moments later after digging through some old note books sure enough there it is, along with three other unentered rates. Fruli Apple. The name says it all really. You know what to expect, I shall not ramble on any further other than to say its only redeeming feature is the delicate hint of vanilla in the finish. Another stunner from Huyghe.

Ungstrup (29164) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - APR 1, 2005
A hazy yellow beer with a fine white head. The aroma is of apples - not a beer aroma - rather like a cider. The flavor is sweet of apples on a malty background - like apple cider, just thin.

Looks very dirty. Nice apple aroma. The flavour is less pleasant. It is terribly yeasty.

Bottle at The Hill pub (Firkin), Birmingham. Very fruity and sweet. No beer flavour - this is more like Appletise, with a sugary, thickish mouthfeel. Not unpleasant, but rather unbeerlike, undemanding and pointless - after all Cider already exists, why reinvent it? Nothing to shout about in aroma, or appearance.
