Could have a few of these. Likable and repeatable. $4 per bottle. Reminds me of kasteel rouge but a little more well behaved. Sweet, fairly carbonated strawberry taste which is initially very sweet but becomes ever so slightly bitter in the finish. Refreshing. Lowe1983 (1029), Fairborn, Ohio, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 13, 2009 Pours an amber/pinkish color with a pink head. Aroma is pretty much all strawberry juice. Flavor is tart with the strawberries. Strange aftertaste that I’m not really a big fan of. Not that good. BiddleBrau (323), Midland Park, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 8, 2009 Hazy amber/red, with thick cloying white/pink head. Big syrupy strawberry aroma. Flavor is not nearly so as overwhelming as aroma, actually tart. Finishes very clean. Surprisingly refreshing beer that I wasn’t expecting from the aroma. Tartness is very pleasant when combined with sweet aroma. nuplastikk (1176), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jan 1, 2009 8.4oz bottle. Murky orange-red color. Strawberry soda aroma. Sweetened artificial strawberry flavor dominates, maybe some artificial watermelon as well. I find this to be a pretty good drink actually, very refreshing and unique. Punchy light alcohol aftertaste. A good palate cleanser certainly, but not the best representative of a Belgian fruit beer. GarrettB (494), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 23, 2008 To round out the sweet side of my beer shopping spree, I stooped down and salvaged a bottle of Fruli from the bottom shelf. Apparently it had long been neglected, covered in dust and other signs of neglect, while the far brighter and better marketed fruit beers reigned up higher, on a different plane. A shame, because the Fruli is a good example of a fruit beer where the sugar doesn’t become cloying, the flavors aren’t overbearing, and the carbonation isn’t crawling into one’s sinuses. The Fruli is a beautiful color, achieving a bright red and orange I haven’t seen in a beer before, and from which comes the sweet scent of watermelon candies, freshly sliced watermelons and strawberries. Nothing more than that. The taste is also refreshingly simple, and well constructed. Sweet and quenching watermelon candies and the taste of weakened strawberry lollipops issues forth from the glass in a taste sensation entirely foreign to beer, but entirely appropriate to dessert. | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 20, 2008 Looks like unfiltered baby food. Aroma is sweet and artificial apples, cranberry, and strawberry. Flavor is mostly strawberry and is very sweet. Fizzy feel. Bartles and Jaymes would be proud of this one. Overpriced.
