Commercial Description:
Fruli is a high quality Belgian white beer blended with pure fruit juice. The strawberry juice compliments the zesty fruitiness of the wheat beer and the result is a natural, soft and refreshing drink that is simply delicious!

Bottle, 250ml. A densely cloudy raspberry colour with a medium-sized head. Aroma is sweet strawberry with lemon. Taste is predominantly fresh strawberry with some malt and yeast flavours coming through. A little wheat once it warms up. A somewhat citric finish. Quite dry and not at all artificial. Moderate carbonation. Quite enjoyable.

Pours dark, cloudy blood, very much like you’d expect an unfiltered ’white’ beer to look like with strawberry juice added. Tiny pink head. The smell is incredibly sweet, almost completely sugary strawberries (another reviewer likened it to strawberry jam, I like this comparison). There is some faint malt buried beneath the strawberry sugar aroma. Taste is lighter than expected -- while the nose is very sweet strawberry syrup, the beer finishes as a blonde ale or wheat. Sweet citrus lingers on the palate. Tasty, but not incredibly balanced -- especially in the aroma.

bottle: Well, i think you either like fruit beers or you don’t. Make that, you either love strawberry beer or you hate it. Thin to no head, dark cloudy colour . . . and really sweet. My wife almost likes this & she hates beer - is this a good sign? My beef with this beer is that it doesn’t feel or taste like a beer, but more like a cooler. Do yourself a favour & grab an amazingly flavoured belgian white (Blue Moon, Hoegarden), german wheat (Erdinger), belgian ale (Leffe Blonde), an abbey dubbel (Chimary Red) or even a hgh quality ESB (Hobgoblin), where you can taste fruit but still feel like you are drinking a beer. Now those beers are an amazing combo of fruit flavours & matls. This just tastes like strawberry juice/smoothie mixed with cheap lager, brutal.

Is this really beer? Ok it tastes of strawberries, but it bears no resemblance to any beer I’ve tasted before. It’s sweet and so unbalanced, to me it’s quite unpleasant. I honestly hate to appear sexist, but I suspect this is aimed at the female market, and while there’s nothing wrong with that, it’s not my cup of tea, or "beer" for that matter, so sorry!

A floral and strawberry/ yeasty nose. Strawberry notes. Light body. Some bitterness. A nicely balanced brew. Very much a palette cleanser.

Bottled. Hazy red with a pinkish head. Extremely sweet in both aroma and flavour. Smells and tastes like strawberry-jam. The sweetness chokes every other flavour.
