Van Diest Früli Strawberry Beer

I really enjoyed this beer... Very sweet aroma with light reddish hue to it with medium head... very tart yet sweet strawberry flavor.. very smooth... could be over powering for some, but I felt that it was very refreshing and different

On tap yestarday @ brewery. Almost clear, dark red color, and a white head. Aroma sweet, syrupy, strawberries. Medium body. Taste very sweet, syrups, strawberries. Refreshing but to sweet for me.

Sickenly sweet smelling and tasting. Really, what were the thoughts behind this, ’cause it says epic fail to me.

On tap at the Biermarkt (Toronto, ON). Pours a murky reddish strawberry color with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of strawberry, fruit, strawberry shortcake. Flavor is sweet and floral with notes of strawberries, fresh fruit, yeast, bread. Generally light body with a fruity and sweet finish.

Solid red pour. Slightly hazy. Fat strawberry scent with a soured scent of butter. Taste is ALL strawberry. There is no yeast or heaviness in this at all. Sort of a tart finish. Interesting but a bit over the top.

Bottle. Poured a strawberry color with a small white head. Smelled very strongly of strawberry. Was slightly tart with a strong sugary flavor.

Bottle @ Metro. 4.1%. Clear, strawberry coloured pour with a weak white head, little retention. Aroma is strawberries (like those Campino candies). Taste is very sweet, strawberries and sugar and quite light. A great dessert beer.
