Commercial Description:
Fruli is a high quality Belgian white beer blended with pure fruit juice. The strawberry juice compliments the zesty fruitiness of the wheat beer and the result is a natural, soft and refreshing drink that is simply delicious!

Bottled at RBESG ’07. Oh! A fruit beer from Huyghe. It must be great... Cloudy reddish. Artificial strawberry aroma. Sweet and perfumy with saccharine and artificial strawberry falvour. Is there actually beer in here? Hello?

Bottle, RBESG Grand Tasting 07. Cloudy copper, thin white head. Nose that smells of that juicy bit at the top of Carte D’Or. Sweet and artificial. Sickly. Mouth is oversweet strawberry. Probably some beer there, didn’t care, it was crap.

On tap at Porterhouse: Minimal head. Thick cloudy red color. Smells like a hell of lot of strawberries. Intense tart strawberry taste. Still a little bit of beer taste in there. Really thick for a fruit beer. I actually liked it. I think that even if this is a girly alco-pop, it is still a notable beer because of its thickness. It isn’t offensive to any sensibility and it is quite drinkable by any standard. Not as complex as a lambic I would suppose, but it still deserves better than this, as it is better than all those watery American fruit wheat beers.

330ml bottle. Sweet and overpowered with strawberry juice. Nothing more than an alcopop.

Křbenhavnske Řldage 07. The color is like strawberry juice, perhaps a bit more red. The aroma has a lot of strawberries, and the flavour is like eating liquid, sun ripe and warm strawberries right from the plant - ymmIII.... 13/29

Sampled on tap and found this to be a distinctly unusual effort. Very strong initial sweet gloopy taste, although underneath there lurks a half decent wheat beer. Trouble is it’s masked by an almost overpowering fruity-mulch - as if a shot of Soda Stream concentrate (for those who remember this) has been thrown in. Head was not very convincing and disappeared pretty quickly and although I came round a bit more to it halfway down, as the initial sweet shock wore off, there’s something distinctly synthetic about this beer. This was the on tap version, however, and I imagine that the bottled beer is a different beast.
