Commercial Description:
Fruli is a high quality Belgian white beer blended with pure fruit juice. The strawberry juice compliments the zesty fruitiness of the wheat beer and the result is a natural, soft and refreshing drink that is simply delicious!

bottle@ Bier Bistro Tdizzle. A fruit beer. nuff said. Not my cup of tea, but my friend likes it, and thats cool because its down to what u like. Very artificial pink in colour and taste like some bubbly fruity concauction. It’s hampered my already poor spelling. strawberries, pineapple, grapes, with a mild vinous, but perhaps by accident. overall, it’s cool my friend likes it, and thats all that matters right?

250 ml Bottle: Tried on a friend’s recommendation after I saw it inside a walk-in Beer Store in Brampton. Pours very creamy pink with a loose pink head. Aroma of strawberries, lemon, pineapple, and yeast; it’s just a bunch of sugar! Flavour is almost pop-like, with a harsh mouthfeel I found it difficult to enjoy. You’re looking at lots of dry strawberry and lemon, hints of other citrus fruits, with some definite light wheat beer and yeast there. But it’s very much on the "soda" scale, and not something I’m anxious to sample again.

I really liked this brew. It was really quite sweet (though not overly cloying) and it has some mild complexity with its malt body. LOTS of strawberry flavor here - sure it’s an additive extract, but it tastes great so what the hell! I’d love to know what the base beer is. Enjoyed it a lot.

The bartender gave me a pretty good sized free sample on one occasion to the porterhouse. Pour is a very murky cloudy bright pink with a nice lasting white head. Aroma is of pure strawberry puree, sweet, and actually pretty enticing. Flavor is sweet, fruity, strawberry jam, with a light tart finish. Nice relatively full body and pleasant- although I dont think I could have drank an entire pint.

Bottle. Have to consider that this is a "juiced" Belgian wit and not a lambic so cannot expect big sour flavours or horseblanket phenols. That said this is a pretty beer with a pale pink color, head has tinge of red that fades rather fast. Distinct berry note in nose. Flavour is clearly strawberry. It is too sweet - a bit of lactic sourness would have improved drinkability. Body is lite as per base style. Bit strange mix of sweet and lite. Easy drinking fruit beer with plenty of strawberry character, needs a touch of lactic complexity to take it to next level and to reflect the base style.

Bottle. Hazy pale reddish colour with an off-white head. Very sweet strawberry aroma. Sweet strawberry flavor with some maltiness. Sweet fruity strawberry finish.

21/05/06 Porterhouse Central Dublin. One of their occassional once off-beers? Muddy pale pink body, sweet strawberry aroma and not too bad for a fruit beer. One is enough, strawberries and cloves, medium body, sweet but not sickly.

(Rating #555)
