Smells pretty much like strawberry jam but not that over the top super sweetened garbage. Weak melon? Not to sure about that one. Taste is pretty much the same with a slight malt and quite sweet. Pretty tasty stuff even though it’s very straight forward. Well, I guess that pretty much sums this up. dkachur (2354), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Jul 15, 2009 8.4 oz bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a hazy red color with a thin head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma is fairly overwhelming and very sweet strawberry candy. The taste is even sweeter. A bit of bread pokes through from the wit, but this is pretty much dominant and overwhelming sugary sweet strawberry candy. Those cellophane wrapped ones that perpetually existed in your grandparents’ candy bowl. Those. That’s what this beer tasted like. Sticky, cloying, medium bodied. Meh. Post script... so sweet it’s beginning to hurt my teeth. Good lord. Cutting the last 4 ounces or so with a Widmer Hefe. Much better. Cole (286), , Alberta, Canada
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 3/20 | Jul 12, 2009 Pours bright red, with a tall pink head. Aroma is dominated by strong sweet strawberry. The beer is incredibly sweet and the only flavour is straeberry. The finish is very smooth, and just a little malty. But the beer is soo sweet I want to puke. The strawberry flavour is too strong and frankly offensive. It is almost like eating jam. I like a fruit beer, that is beer first and fruit second. JorisPPattyn (5163), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 10, 2009 Small, pinkish head, fed by lively carbonation from hazy old-red beer. Intense strawberry aroma, as from pulped berries or strawberry jam. Some wheat in the finish. Rather artificial strawberry flavour; sweet if not overly so; the wheat coming our as faintly spiced old bread. Sourish impression, mainly from the CO˛. BIt sticky, thank God not cloying; light to medium bodied, CO˛ spritziness. It’s not bad, but if this is anything else but less diluted Florisdingesbezengarden, then I’m Hogfather. fishingnet (1045), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 30, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear reddish pink with a small pink head that lasts leaving some lacing. Aroma of candied strawberries.Taste is artificial strawberries, spices, and wheat with a medicinal aftertaste. Medium full mouthfeel with a mild amount of acidity. Decent. pootzboy (1045), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada

pours a reddish pink murky ale in the glass. Puffy off white cap. Nice lacing,
Ample aromas of real strawberry and wet mustiness.
Flavor is like a strawberry soda that had a wet horse blankets soaking in it. Nice balance of real fruit and lambic but again it is the adjunct sugar that frigs up the drink. Palidor19 (1772), Brandon, Florida, USA

The appearance is reddish with a decent head. The flavor is like the aroma with some funkiness and malt. The palate is smooth. Overall this is interesting but not something I would drink often.
