Fruli is a high quality Belgian white beer blended with pure fruit juice. The strawberry juice compliments the zesty fruitiness of the wheat beer and the result is a natural, soft and refreshing drink that is simply delicious!

UPDATED: JUN 30, 2006 I’m writing an article on fruit beers for a local food & drink website, so I gave this another shot to see if it’s as bad as I thought the first time around. It still looks as ugly as hell - murky reddish-brown with a wisp of a head. Aroma of strawberry jam - not just any jam, but the sickly sweet freezer jam that is common on the east coast of Canada where my family is from. Flavour is quite sweet and candyish with a hint of tartness in the finish. It’s not quite as cloying as my original rating suggested - it’s still too sweet for my personal taste, but I don’t hate it quite as much the second time around. (original numbers - 3/2/2/2/4/1.3)

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2005 Very cloudy neon pink beer with a thin white head. Very strong strawberry and light spice aroma. Flavour is almost all strawberry with a hint of coriander. Very sweet finish. I wouldn’t say that this is bad, but the sweetness really puts you off after half a pint. I couldn’t finish it.

Hazy pale red in colour with a powerful nose of strawberry. Not much wheat beer quality to this one (no yeasty or wheaty flavors), just overpowering sweet strawberry cand flavorsy. Not completely offensive, but not really "beer like" enough for me.

Bottle. A redish beer with a pink head. The aroma and taste is of Strawberries and is sweet. Medium body with a soda pop like finish.

(Bottle 33 cl) Slightly hazy reddish with a small, pink head. Sweet and very artificial strawberry aroma. Thin and extremely sweet with very distinct strawberry notes - hard to believe they should be natural. Very sticky finish. 170507

250ml bottle. Pours a murky pinkish red with a white head. The aroma is pure sickly strawberry. Smooth at first and then fizzy/tingly on the tongue. Starts with an intense strawberry flavour and then a wheat note comes through. The flavours feel rather artificial and overall this is pretty poor. Oh well, I can tick off ’fruit beer’ on the style list now.

Looks like unfiltered baby food. Aroma is sweet and artificial apples, cranberry, and strawberry. Flavor is mostly strawberry and is very sweet. Fizzy feel. Bartles and Jaymes would be proud of this one. Overpriced.

Pours a pinkish red color with a small foamy light pink head. Aroma is strawberry candy, smells like GNC strawberry protein hahaha. Initial taste is like a rocking boat, side to side strawberry candy then weird funky sweetness. Mid palate to finish fades very quickly with light berries on the finish and very dry. Flavor is one dimensional and clawing sweet. Below average palate duration. Average head retention. Body is light.

UPDATED: JUN 14, 2012 0.25l bottle from Systembolaget Passagen, Stockholm. This one pours a quite heavily clouded deep burgundy-red body with a nice big and heavy lacing kinda fluffy head. The aroma is really sweet and packed with artificial strawberries! Also some raspberries in here as well. Soft carbonation and a sticky mouthfeel. Really sweet! Both sugar and strawberry sweet. Most the last actually. Is this even a beer? Ends more sweet with a long lasting fruity strawberry aftertaste. More like a strawberry breezer than a beer if you ask me.. 4-3-4-3-6=2

0.25l bottle from beermerchants.com A true strawberry beer finally. I often find traces of what I beleive is strawberries in different beers, so it will be interessting to try a proper one. It pours a heavy cloudy dark-strawberry colored body with a medium sized pink and sidesticking head. It definitely has lots of strawberries in the aroma. Much the artificial marmalade-kind, not the fresh real stuff (I’m comparing) Really sweet and sticky also in the aroma, and it has a light flour-ish thing going on as well. Reminds me of strawberry popsicles. It has a sweet but not directly sticky texture in the mouth and it’s average carbonated. Strange, sweet strawberry flavors with just a hint of cherries. Really different, it has a grassy-hay thing also. It paired actually really nicely with a fresh strawberry! A bit to sweet to call it a proper beer, but I enjoyed it for what it is. 09.06.2012 4-3-4-3-8=2.2

250 mL bottle. Pours a cloudy watermelon color, white head that dissipates quickly with a little lacing. Sickly sweet aroma, strawberry, cough syrup, cotton candy and bubble gum. Sweet and fruity, a little bit of malt that gets blown away by strawberry soft drink flavor, leaving behind only a hint of bitterness that suggests its made with beer. Leaves your mouth feeling like you just had a soda rather than a brew. Interesting to try, but I can only hope that the world of fruit beers had more to offer than this.
