Pours dark, cloudy blood, very much like you’d expect an unfiltered ’white’ beer to look like with strawberry juice added. Tiny pink head. The smell is incredibly sweet, almost completely sugary strawberries (another reviewer likened it to strawberry jam, I like this comparison). There is some faint malt buried beneath the strawberry sugar aroma. Taste is lighter than expected -- while the nose is very sweet strawberry syrup, the beer finishes as a blonde ale or wheat. Sweet citrus lingers on the palate. Tasty, but not incredibly balanced -- especially in the aroma.

Sep 3, 2008 I’m not a big fan of Belgian beer but this one was good. Hazy cranberry colour,strong strawberry taste and smell. Great for dessert. Tastes more like wine than beer.

Aug 24, 2008 Holy fuck . Like some diet frozen yogut that was popular in 1989. I was only 8 years old in 1989 but I’m still sure i’m correct. The aroma smells like dieing strawberry . Mr Generic is Fruli .Fruli is so so sweet ..and artifical. Jesus Christ. I think I’m having a heart attack.

Aug 23, 2008 250 mL bottle from LCBO. Strong strawberry aroma, definitely real strawberry, not a fake syrup. Slightly rotted scent. Deep, dark orange pink color, with a lasting, strikingly pale rose head. Good lacing. Flavor very sweet, very fruity, very carbonated. Washes everything else out. But overall, an enjoyable beverage. Not sure it’s fair to call it beer though...

Aug 19, 2008 Had in a 250 mL bottle at bottlescrew Bills, calgary, AB. Pours a bright amber colour which is slightly hazy and has a thin head. Aroma is of strawberry flavoured candy. Even before my first taste, i expected this to be more of a cooler or even a soda than beer. I was correct. The "beer" (if you can call it one) has an overly sweet flavour of artificial strawberry flavour. Overcarbonation attempts to make up for the less than desirable flavour of this "beer". After all of this, this is still a fairly good "beverage" that would be perfect on an insatiably hot day or by a pool.
