Shared fresh-smelling draught pour@BBF 2015, ZA - bedanktmannen. Light yellow gold pour. Earthy nose of that wet leafy Poperinge hop varierty, less pepper and grasses than usual, more pasture, dampsweet. Taste sees more well-rounded, gentle caramel and lemonade aromatics, lemon curd, Poperinge hop peppers finally, backed by honey sweetness. Lovely, balanced Belgian ale stuff I would imagine enjoying less bottled, like a few others by Van Eecke.

Thanks! Sampled draft @ BBF 2014. Totally clear dark orange, little white head, looks industrial. Smells metallic, white sugar, cereal,… Taste is sweet iron cereal, sweetish cornflakes, cramel,… Light metallic body. Tastes like they were trying to appeal to macro pale lager drinkers. A bit fascinating in an odd way. Somewhat oddly enjoyable still.

Strong blonde since 2012, in first instance only from tap. Yellowish white, creamy, stable head, pure golden blonde colour, as good as clear. Aroma of apple, vanilla, sour cream, honey, buttermilk, banana; taste fruity, citrussy, some apricot, well-rounded, smooth and supple, sweetish vanilla sugar hint, finish mildly grassy hoppy but still primarily fruity sweetness. Very tasteful if you like your blonde ales a bit sweeter than average.

Shimmering golden. Small white cream head. Soft and rounded toffee and yellow fruits to the nose. Hint light roasted nuts and Belgo-yeast. Light-bodied whithout being thin. Light sparkling mouthfeel. Fairly dry for the style. Yet a good malt base, featuring toffee, brown sugar and pepper. Finish dry and light fruity. [Draft at Taphouse, København]

30th Jan 2014: one of five draft beers on a ’flight’ at La Trappist, Brugge, you could have any five of the draft thirteen available for ten Euro’s (0.2 litre glasses). So a litre of wonderful Belgian beers just for me! Came almost clear: light amber with a good, lasting white head. Fruity, yeasty and malty nose. The taste was very similar to what the nose had prepared you for, light malts with a fruit feel along with a spicey yeastiness that told you this was a Belgian beer. Easy to drink and refreshing, a good start to the flight of five
